I picked a random Daddy-like cartoon image as an avatar, and said I was from Alberta, but didn’t include the name of our town. I re-read what I’d written several times over, trying to see it from her perspective and hoping I was treading the line of being flirtatious without being creepy. I crawled my way out of bed and into the shower, ashamed of myself. Astrid would know, I was sure; even with the age gap between them, and my mystery girl having graduated years before, the local high school wasn’t that big, and redheads always stood out, especially to each other. I told her how much I was looking forward to reading her other stories, as well—but that I was planning to limit myself to only one every few nights, to make them last. I had to stop half-way through, and I swear I came harder than I had in years!
