I propped, “what the fuck Jim!…you can’t be serious!!” I exclaimed, perhaps a little louder than I should have. For fuck’s sake Jim, I’m retired, last thing I need is to be running around the paddock after a bunch of disinterested, uncoordinated kids!” I answered quietly. On the drive back, I mulled over Jim’s request, even though I knew deep down I would agree to fill in until he found someone, I still worked it over in my head, missing three hours Saturday mornings with ‘my girls’ was the only real downer….and one I decided I could live with for a few weeks. “Well, that’s a relief, at least I don’t have to send you back to your English class to learn how to read!… what do those words imply Miss Ford?”… “umm…well…people change their clothes in there” she stammered softly… I CAN’T HEAR YOU”!
